You should use it on a cloudy day in order to avoid scorching plants; you can use it on all sorts of bugs, I have tried spraying it on every little annoying friend that was roaming in my garden and it works great!
Here’s a list of some eco-friendly insects control sprays for specific bugs:
Earwigs: Earwigs are small insects that love to eat filth. They can be found most anywhere, including your kitchen! To get rid of them for good though it’s best if you trap them.
I like doing this by filling an empty margarine container 1/4 full with soy sauce or vegetable oil, then placing the lid back and leave this in a dry and cool place. They will soon be attracted by the lovely smell of the soy sauce, and the vegetable oil will trap them so there’s no way they will get out!
Ants: There are lots of ways to get rid of pesky ants, but if you don’t want the hassle then here’s a simple technique I found online: mix soapy water with some spices such as cinnamon and cloves.
You can also use mint or cayenne pepper for an extra kick! If that doesn’t work add citrus oil before bed time – it should keep them from coming back in the morning when we’re not around anymore 🙂
Fleas: These can be a pain to deal with, but there are many ways you could try. Soapy water mixed with fleabane or cedar is an option for repelling these pesky creatures from your pet’s fur!
Citrus oil and rose geranium oil will also make them think twice before they jump onto your sweet pup again; just put some in their food each day as well.
Mosquitoes: Discover which essential oils work best to repel mosquitoes: Sage, rosemary, mint, citronella, lavender, garlic, catmint, beebalm, lemongrass, marigold, lemon balm, thyme, oregano, basil, dill, chamomile, cloves, fennel, borage, eucalyptus, rose geranium oil or neem oil.
Flies: Flies are a problem that we all have to deal with at some point. To control them, use mint, bay leaves, basil, eucalyptus, and cloves.
Ticks: Ticks are pesky little creatures that love eating our blood. Luckily for us, there’s a whole bunch of plants out there to keep these pests at bay! Rose geranium oil, eucalyptus, cloves, rosemary, mints, citrus oil, olive oil, lemon balm, citronella, oregano, garlic, and lemongrass mixtures can help very much in the battle with ticks.
