With the right plant, you can have a beautiful indoor ecosystem that would be easy to maintain. Some plants don’t require soil and these varieties grow well in water!

1. Pothos
By taking tip cutting of any length and putting the end into some water, you can create a new plant.
Only make sure that 2-3 nodes are submerged in water in order for it go well with your desired outcome!
2. Arrowhead
A tip cutting of this plant could be potted up with nodes below the water level and it is similar to the common houseplant, pothos.
3. Philodendrons
Dainty heart-leaved philodendrons and the large, split-leaves do equally well in water.
Just take 6 – 8 inch cuttings of growing tips put them in a container that’s big enough for its weight (you may need to place stone or other stabilizing objects) then wait until they roots develop before planting out into their permanent location.
4. Peace Lily
The peace lily is a beautiful flower that can be used in many different ways.
You may want to pot up one division, or you could use an entire plant growing in your pot of soil and just wash off all the dirt from its roots before placing it into fresh water for new life!

6. Dracaena

8. Chinese Evergreen (Aglaonema)
You can take cuttings or clean whole plants growing in pots and put them in large containers of water. This is a great way to propagate new varieties at home.
9. Chlorophytum (Spider plant, Airplane plant)
Put large plantlets or entire plants cleaned of all soil particles in a bowl full water. Water culture is best for hanging plants because you don’t need to waters them often; this makes it easier on your goldfish!
